The goal of this project is to create an alternative firmware for the NAS-1000 / NAS-2000 storage device. NAS has lots of unused hardware features that are currently not in use and there is a big space for extension. If anybody did something new with the NAS feel free to share your knowledge in this wiki :)
Because there are people from many different countries interested in information about the NAS PLEASE write your articles in ENGLISH!!! We have 43 pages.
There is also a mailinglist on freelists.org available if you want to simply write a mail with 'subscribe' in the Subject field to nas-2000-request@freelists.org.
| Tinky is the name of the current firmware for the NAS it is based on the original 2_3_2-IB-1 firmware from raidsonic. The firmware was cleaned up and some new features were added. |
